A nice ending to a busy week. Campfire, Jameson, passing wildlife, (deer), and I tried to be good but then the campfire was lit there was Jack Daniel’s shirt. There is something magical about seeing a deer pass through your yard. The inhale and instant connection with silence, nature, and gratefulness – then swiftly it bounds and runs and reminds us of how fragile each moment is. Having spent 3 days walking the Deerfield Valley Rd, from Bath into Augusta, it was a welcome relief to leave the sun-drenched roadside behind us, and hit the trail!
